The First Year School of Ministry focuses on:

– establishing God’s Royal identity in the mind of each student; to walk in honour, love, power and authority
– assimilating the core values of the Kingdom, with solid biblical understanding, into the heart of the believer
– learning the ministry style of Jesus: enjoying the presence of God, speaking and acting like Him
– being equipped and trained to fulfil Jesus’ commission to preach the Gospel, with signs following

First Year provides a strong biblical foundation on how to read, interpret and apply the Bible. As
students daily engage in reading through a significant portion of Scripture, the Holy Spirit breathes life
and revelation into it, causing it to come alive with meaning and practical insight for today. Students
also learn from reading the writings (approx 12 books) and personal teaching of apostles, prophets,
teachers, pastors and evangelists who are living out Kingdom principles in their own lives and
First year also allows for an amazing opportunity to learn from fellow students, who come from all
over the world, hungry for more of God’s presence and power. Together, they minister with and to
each other, pray for each other and speak life over one another. During the first month of school
students have the opportunity to go on a weekend retreat, which is a tremendous time of getting to
know other students, building new relationships and connecting with the staff.
Later in the year they are released as part of the ministry team for church services and to serve in our
local church ministries, national conferences and weekly community outreach.
